This mid-summer weekend workshop is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the complimentary movement practices of 5 Rhythms and Yoga. We will begin with simple Hatha Yoga movements to help us slow down, bringing our attention into the body and our breathing. From this place of stillness and connection within, we will begin moving into the first Rhythm of flowing (earth), and onwards through staccato (fire), chaos (water), and lyrical (air), arriving again in stillness (ether). The workshop is open to every body, no matter what its shape, size, age, limitations and experience.
This weekend is both dynamic and gentle. You are invited through movement to let go of the imprisonment of the repetitively thinking mind and release the organic rhythms of energy that are present in all of us. Through opening to this energy, which is our lifeforce, we can open to a greater freedom of being within ourselves and with those around us. Come home to the ground of your being and be nourished by the fullness of life’s energies at this time of mid-summer
Tim is delighted to be offering this workshop with Lisa Bayliss who has been practicing Yoga for many years and is now a student teacher with the British School of Yoga. She has a particular interest in the relationship between breathing, movement and meditation.
